Sodium CMC for Oil & Gas Drilling

CMC in Oil and Gas Drilling Mud

Sodium CMC in Oil and Gas Drilling is used for the preparation of drilling fluid, cementing fluid and fracturing fluid.

  • Sodium CMC can be used in fresh water, sea water and saturated brine;
  • Sodium CMC has uniform substitution molecules, less dosage and high slurrying rate;
  • Salt and alkali resistance Good performance, strong antibacterial performance, easy to use;
  • Fluid loss reduction, obvious thickening effect;
  • Rheological control, strong suspension ability;
  • Ultra-high viscosity products can also replace guar gum to reduce production costs.

CMC In The Drilling Fluid Mud

  • CMC is mainly used as viscosifier, fluid loss reducer, and rheology control agent, which can effectively protect the well wall to prevent mud loss and carry cuttings;
  • Protect the drill bit and increase the drilling speed;
  • In low solid phase and no solid phase Drilling fluid can significantly reduce fluid loss and thin mud cake thickness, and has a good inhibitory effect on shale hydration.

In The Cementing Fluid

  • To control fluid viscosity;
  • Suspend heavy objects;
  • Prevent fluid loss;
  • Better protect the well wall;
  • And prevent fluid from entering pores and fractures.

In The Fracturing Fluid

  • The filler can be efficiently carried into the oil well fracture;
  • The permeation channel can be established;
  • The fluid can be effectively controlled to enter the oil well structure;
  • The fluid loss can be reduced, and the pressure drop can be reduced.
